✨ About Me
Hi Everyone! 👋
I am called Elsa Ballerina on social media and I am a proud trans woman, part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
My gaming history is deeply intertwined with PC gaming. I started with classics like Bungie's Marathon on a Power Mac and moved through the era of id Software's Quake and DOOM, not forgetting the intense Sierra Online Half-Life deathmatches.
These games connected me with a community, whether through GameSpy, C3, or Discord. Sure, those cumulative hours could have earned me four PhDs! But while gaming might have been a distraction from academia, it offered something just as valuable: a safe, sane, and far more affordable form of entertainment. 💖

📖 The Lore of My Names
🛡️ soulpaladin
This nickname was gifted to me around the time Hotmail launched, inspired by the classical game on floppy-disks called Warlords. It stuck!
🌸 Yuiko
This nickname came from a Japanese anime TV show that I once used to watch on Winamp. I can't recall the exact title, but I think it was related to a summer hotel and a cleaning lady called Yuiko.
🩰 Elsa Ballerina
This nickname doesn't come from the popular 2013 film Frozen! It was suggested to me by a close person many moons ago. "Ballerina" comes from Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, and my clan name (Ballet of Death) came from watching an awesome video on YouTube called The Gunfighter.
🦄 About Me
Holding a Steam account since 2003, I’ve collected decades of digital experiences. This long history prompts the thought: "I hope my profile endures long after I'm gone." Contemplating this passage of time deepens my appreciation for life’s simpler moments. I now consciously focus on staying present in the 'now,' even when it's a daily effort. Recognizing what I cannot change about the past fuels my commitment to shaping a better future.
